SUPER Salad

I LOVE salad...
Lettuce
Herb Greens Mix
Leftover BBQ'd Corn on the cob
broccoli
carrots
orange & yellow peppers
grape tomatoes
cucumber
hot peppers (strange... maybe, delicious....yes!)
Veggie ground round..Italian flavour
light feta
= one killer lunch!

Muffin FAIL.

Seriously.. who doesn't like chocolate chip muffins?
This recipe just wasn't the best...
They look yummy... but taste like rubber...

How to baste Eggs.

I think this is the only thing related to cooking that J. has ever taught me...
But it is a gooder... I LOVE basted eggs....

Step 1: grease the frying pan REALLY well. (I use Pam... works great.)
Step 2: heat the frying pan...
Step 3: Add eggs!!!
Step 4: cook eggs for a bit... until they are almost cooked enough for sunny side up.
Step 5: Add water to pan (about 1/2 cup) and cover with lid... All the steam cooks the tops of the eggs...
Depending on how long you baste the eggs for... they can be hard or soft... I am a medium yolk kind of girl.. so I usually keep them going for as long as it takes to make a piece of toast.

Step 6: EAT :)

BLACKOUT + Night Cheese

At about 5 pm last night.... our power went out...and stayed out.
All of Port Moody was down.
The best way to deal with a Blackout? Beer & BBQ!!!

Biggest Steak in the World

Seriously...When I asked for a big steak.. this is NOT what I was expecting!!

Even J. couldn't eat it all!!

The corn on the cob was a WIN!!

Prep: in a bowl mix butter, garlic and spices. Brush on corn, wrap in tin-foil.
Cook: BBQ on Med. heat for 30 minutes.... SO good.
